Case Overview

A client of Verity was involved in a liquidation case as a creditor. The directors of the liquidating company claimed that none of the directors have sufficient assets to settle the court case.

Our Findings

We conducted a background search on the directors, and found one of the directors was a major shareholder and a key executive of a mainland China company, which was about to be go publicly listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Further asset tracing indicated two of the directors were involved in transactions of uncompleted properties in Hong Kong.

The Result

With the information collected, our client was able to recover some of the mislaid or hidden asset.
